Smile an Everlasting Smile

Ever wondered why the enigmatic Mona Lisa became one of the renowned paintings? It is simply because of her unique smile. Smile is considered as the highest positive emotional expression. A smile is powerful and a laugh is considered to be even stronger medicine for sadness or depression. Here are some reasons to why you should smile whenever you can:

  • A smile can make you happy (even when you’re not)

The simple act of smiling sends a message to your body that you are happy and your body pumps all kinds of feel good endorphins. Different emotional expressions produce psychological changes that reflect the emotion, changes in heart and breathing rate.

  • Brings happiness to others around you:

Seeing a friend smile can activate the muscles in your face to give that same expression, without you even being aware that you are doing it. So choose to smile and watch the world smile back at you.

  • Smiling makes you attractive:

People look their best and happiest when smiling. A smile makes a person more appealing to the members of the opposite sex and you will seem to be more attractive in his or her eyes.

  • Smiling reduces stress:

Smiling reduces your stress. When you smile and feel happy your body will gradually stabilise your breathing and heart rate. Reducing stress lowers blood pressure, improves digestion and regulates blood sugar too.

So, put on that 100 Watt smile on your face, no matter what you are going through and see how it brings positivity around you. 🙂
