- Muscular Endurance
- Body Composition
- Cardio Respiratory Endurance:
It is the ability of the body to continuously provide energy to sustain physical activity
Exercise: Walking, Swimming, Bicycling
Helps improve fat metabolism, improved delivery of oxygen, faster removal of waste products and decreased level of stress.
- Muscular Strength:
It is the ability of the muscle to exert force during an activity
Exercise: Lifting weights, taking the stairs
Enables us to avoid injuries, provides posture maintenance, helps you to be independent in your old age too.
- Muscular Endurance:
This type of workout helps the muscle to make repeated contractions over a period of time
Exercise: Walking, Jogging, Bicycling, Dancing
- Body Composition:
Body composition is the amount of muscles, fat, bone and other vital parts that your body is composed of. It is important for you to maintain a healthy percentage of body fat because
a) Excess body fat leads to heart disease and diabetes
b) Increases the risk of injury
Depends on the ability to stretch your joints, usually controlled by muscles.
Exercise: Swimming, basic stretching programme
A regular practice of these exercises helps prevent injuries, improves posture, reduces lower back pain, maintains healthy joints and maintains body balance during movement.
